A convivial cultural complex decorated with furnishings from TV dramas, the Maison de l’Écrivain houses an art gallery where local artists and artisans offer their creations (paintings, sculptures, art installations, etc.) under the leadership of painter Annette Desmarais. The bookstore features the works of many Bas-Saint-Laurent authors, including Victor-Lévy Beaulieu. Readings and seminars are held in the salon, where guided tours also begin. Chef Germain Beaulieu invites food lovers and gourmets to the bistro and terrace to enjoy savoury vegetarian, fish and seafood dishes.
